about helping new believers and all women grow to know the
Lord intimately. While in Ministry at Coast Hills Community
Church (CHCC) in Aliso Viejo, California during the eight
years, she spent most of her time leading Bible studies
and assisting with planning, preparing and implementing
the women’s programs.
As Assistant to the Director of Women’s Ministry
at CHCC for two years and current Associate Director of
Women’s Ministry, she was drawn to the Intentional
Woman (IW) because it empowers women to live on-purpose
for the Lord. “The IW process helps me validate who
I am in Christ and gives me clear direction for where I
want to go with my passions and talents as I enter a new
season of life,” shared Catherine recently.
Catherine facilitates the IW process at Coast Hills Church
through Bibles studies and one-on-one mentoring opportunities.
“I love taking new women through the process, watching
how it builds a new confidence in them,” said Catherine.
“And when they begin to understand that they are a
masterpiece of God and He has a purpose for their lives,
I get excited! There is nothing better than seeing a woman
start growing into the individual God intended her to be!
I have had women go through the process and recommit to
their marriage, run a ½ marathon, take their career
in a new direction, and even learn a new language. The next
steps for these women are endless!”
Catherine worked in corporate world and retail industry
for over seventeen years. Before “blessedly retiring”
to stay home with her children, she was a store manager
and buyer for Nordstrom for over thirteen years. Just two
years ago she re-entered the work force—as a staff
